Who We Are

This website and its associated mobile applications are operated by Media Meta Products LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a limited liability company based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Our website address is https://mediametaproducts.com. We design and publish mobile companion applications for tabletop and trading card game players, including MTG CODEX, which is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the web.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website at mediametaproducts.com and to our mobile and web applications (together, our “Services”).

Information We Collect

Information You Provide: You can use most features of our apps without creating an account. If you choose to create an account or sign in, we collect the information needed to set it up, such as your email address and, if you sign in through a third-party provider such as Apple or Google, the basic account identifier that provider shares with us. If you contact us for support, we collect the information you include in your message.

Content You Create in the App: When you use features such as the collection manager, deck builder, or life tracker, the content you create (for example, your card collection, decks, and saved settings) may be stored on your device and, if you sign in, synced to our cloud storage so it is available across your devices.

Information Collected Automatically: When you use our Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, general usage and crash data, and IP address. This helps us keep the Services working, fix problems, and improve performance.

Card Scanner and Camera: Our card scanner uses your device camera to identify cards. Camera images are processed to recognize the card and are not stored by us or used for any other purpose. Camera access is only active while you are using the scanner, and you can revoke camera permission at any time in your device settings.

Comments (Website)

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media (Website)

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.

Website Cookies:
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies are removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Categories of Cookies:
Strictly necessary: required for the site and app to function, such as login and security.
Preference: remember your choices and settings.
Analytics: help us understand usage so we can improve the Services.

Managing Cookies: You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the website work. Our mobile apps use local device storage rather than browser cookies to save your settings and content.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example, videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Third-Party Services We Use

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate our Services. These may include cloud hosting and database providers for account and sync features, crash reporting and analytics providers, and card data and rules reference providers used to display card information and pricing. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms, and only as needed to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal information.

Who We Share Your Data With

We share information only as described in this policy:
With service providers who help us operate the Services, as described above.
If required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
To protect the rights, safety, or property of Media Meta Products LLC, our users, or the public.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change.

On the website, if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment on the website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website or in our apps, we store the personal information provided in the user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Administrators can also see and edit that information.

App account data and synced content are retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data, except data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or in our apps, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To make a request, contact us at support@mediametaproducts.com.

California Residents: If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom: If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. We are based in the United States, and information we collect may be processed and stored in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure your information is handled in line with this policy wherever it is processed.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@mediametaproducts.com and we will take steps to delete it.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to keep our security practices up to date.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
